Abstract
All nine independent elastic constants of a monocrystal were determined at room temperature using resonant ultrasound spectroscopy. Shear and Young moduli obtained from the by the Voigt-Reuss-Hill averaging method agree well with the pulse-echo results on a polycrystal. The Debye temperature calculated from the elastic constants agrees with the specific-heat measurement.
