Abstract
The Born-Ochkur approximation is used to evaluate the ratio of P'/P of the transverse polarizations P and P' of electrons before and after the excitation of the 63P1 and 61P1 states of mercury for scattering in the forward direction. Satisfactory accordance is obtained with the experimental data obtained by Hanne and Kessler (see ibid., vol.9, p.791 (1976)).Keywords
