Abstract
This study of the reaction at a bombarding energy of 18 MeV finds evidence for a small admixture of neutrons from the orbitals in the ground state of . The summed spectroscopic factor for pickup is 0.36. If the mixing is of zero-coupled pairs of neutrons, the coefficient of this admixed term in the wave function is 0.42. The positions and spectroscopic factors for several states that appear to be due to -wave or -wave pickup are also given, and two apparent examples of dependence are used to make spin assignments of in . Angular distributions of tritons from the reaction are shown for seven states of , but reliable spin determinations cannot be made, owing to the lack of structure in the observed distributions.
