Abstract
It is shown that the angle-resolved photoemission spectra computed from the theory developed in Paper I, which is based upon a free-electron final state, atomic dipole selection rules, and the band structure of the bulk, are in good agreement with the experimental spectra from a Ag(111) surface for eV. There is some sporadic indication that multiple-scattering effects are present in the spectra obtained for eV. We conclude that there are no significant modifications of the bulk bands at the surface, nor any conclusive signs of surface states.
