Fractal Dimension of Dielectric Breakdown

Abstract
It is shown that the simplest nontrivial stochastic model for dielectric breakdown naturally leads to fractal structures for the discharge pattern. Planar discharges are studied in detail and the results are compared with properly designed experiments.Keywords
