Abstract
The Francis scale of attitude towards Christianity Form ASC4B, developed originally for use in England, was completed by 1,431 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 in Roman Catholic state maintained secondary schools in Scotland. The results support the reliability, unidimensionality and validity of the scale among this population. Norms are presented for pupils attending Roman Catholic state maintained secondary schools in Scotland, for boys and girls from each year group separately. These norms are discussed in relationship to the published norms for pupils attending Roman Catholic state maintained secondary schools in England. Keywords
