Abstract
The elementary excitations at frac13; Landau-level filling have been studied in the many-body variational approach. In the absence of Zeeman energy, the lowest-energy excitations involve spin-reversed quasiparticles. The proper excitation energies including the finite-thickness correction have been presented for the spin-reversed quasiparticles and the spin-polarized quasiholes. Keywords
