Abstract
Deep-inelastic scattering structure functions are calculated in a cloudy bag model with surface dynamics. The model is solved in the adiabatic approximation, the resultant wave functions are projected onto states of zero momentum, and valence-quark distributions are calculated. These distributions are evolved to =15 using QCD perturbation theory, where they are compared with experiment. Qualitative agreement is achieved.
