Abstract
The relative FSH and LH activities of urinary human gonadotropin concd by ultrafiltration were detd. by comparing the FSH effects (increased testicular wt., increased uterine wt; vaginal cornification) in hypophysectomized immature rats with the LH effects (seminal vesicle growth secondary to interstitial cell secretion; ovulation and corpus luteum formation). By these criteria no LH was present, although considerable FSH activity was shown. The formation of ovarian follicular cavities shows that some LH was present, but not enough to cause ovulation. Keywords
