Abstract
Lactoflavin (natural or synthetic) in daily doses of 1.7 to 10.0 mgm. (0.1 to 0.5 mgm. per kgm. of body wt.) causes a definite increase in Hb production above the basal level in standardized anemic dogs. This increase is of the order of 1/4 the Hb production effected by daily feeding of 300 gms. of pig liver. These expts. contribute to a better understanding of the physiological function of lactoflavin. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
