Abstract
Based on a recently proposed method of incorporating quark degrees of freedom in nuclei, we estimate the probability of the six-quark compound state of deuteron using the experimental data and quantum chromodynamics prediction for the deuteron form factor, and also using the partial width of the dibaryon resonance of Kamae et al. Both estimates are consistent with each other. Keywords
