Abstract
Cycloserine has shown promise in the treatment of tuberculosis, and is bacteriostatic against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro in concentrations of 5 to 10 [mu]g/ml. It is effective against bacilli that are resistant to streptomycin, p-amino salicylic acid, or isoniazid. Cycloserine causes a gradual disintegration of tubercle bacilli in growing cultures.
