Abstract
Group I consisted of 18 pigeons given 61 series of rotations, one half min. in length; on the same day post-rotational nystagmus times were taken. The expt. was repeated after a 56 day interval. Group II was treated in exactly the same way, but the retest was 96 days after the 1st expt. The author concludes: (1) massed stimulation results in a characteristic reduction of the duration of nystagmus; (2) a period of 56 days between the 1st and 2d series of stimulations results in the nystagmus''s being considerably lower than that obtained in the 1st series; (3) when 96 days intervene between the 1st and 2d series there is no evidence that the effects are retained.
