Optical properties of oxidized granular silver

Abstract
Optical absorption spectra are calculated for a granular silver film in which it is assumed that the spherical metal grains are coated by an S shell. Dipolar interactions between these coated particles are taken into account within the framework of the Gaussian broadening model.
