Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.12, no.12, p.2015 (1979). The electron capture cross sections for He+ ions incident on noble-gas atoms have been calculated in the Gryzinski model by modifying the limits for energy transfer on the basis of the detailed analysis of Thomas. The effect of angular divergences has also been taken into account. The present calculations are found to show better agreement with the experimental observations, particularly in the low-energy region where Gryzinski's prescription considerably overestimates the capture cross sections. Keywords
