Abstract
Parainoceramus martini n.sp., Ururoan Stage (Pliensbachian-Toarcian), Inoceramus ururoaensis n.sp., uppermost Ururoan or lowermost Temaikan Stage (Toarcian-Aalenian) and Inoceramus marwicki n.sp., upper Temaikan Stage (Callovian), are described. The possibility of an evolutionary lineage extending from I. brownei Marwick (lower Temaikan, Aalenian-Bathonian) through I. marwicki (upper Temaikan) to I. galoi (Heterian, Kimmeridgian) is discussed. The sequence of Inoceramus species in the Jurassic of New Zealand is briefly reviewed. The status of Parainoceramus and the Japanese species included in the genus are discussed. Keywords
