Abstract
Upper Jurassic fossils (Buchia aff. matayomaorica, B. aff. subpallasi, Inoceramus spp. Anapaea sp., and Hibolithes brownei) are recorded from the Cheviot Hills. The fossiliferous rocks emit an oily smell when freshly crushed, and contain very small quantities of hydrocarbon, mostly methane. Keywords
