Abstract
Dorsipes curtonoti n. sp. is described from Amara (Curtonotus) gigantea Motschulsky (Coleoptera: Carabidae) from Japan. This is the first record of the inflatus group of Dorsipes in Japan. The new species and two additional species of Dorsipes in the group inflatus are compared with each other and species in the groups dorsipes and platysmae. Figures of instars of D. inflatus and D. notopus not previously illustrated and keys to groups and species of Dorsipes are presented. Keywords
