Abstract
Nonelastic neutron cross sections for 23 elements have been measured at 14.2 Mev by means of the sphere transmission technique. Corrections have been applied to the data, principally for elastic energy loss, multiple scattering, and finite detector size. The results are compared with predictions of the optical model. Keywords
