Abstract
A review of the literature concerning complications of aortic injections of contrast materials. Also, a review of the authors'' work describing the actual damage caused by the tip of the catheter during forceful injection. Emphasis is placed on proper positioning of the catheter to avoid impaction of the tip prior to injection. Trauma caused by the whip of the catheter is described. Low pressures and large catheters are advised. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
