Abstract
The authors collect together the known results for the effect of single defect into a single compact form that can be used in any lattice in the static limit. The result is used to calculate the effect of single defects (either bonds or sites) on the diffusion constant and conductivity of various lattices. It is shown that the result of Izyumov for the spin-wave stiffness can be simply generalised to any lattice. Keywords
