Integral expression for transforming signal-dependent noise into signal-independent noise

Abstract
A simple proof is given for an integral expression that permits the transformation of signal-dependent noise into signal-independent additive noise. This expression is used to derive transformations for film-grain noise that does not necessarily follow the square-root law and for fully developed speckle noise.Keywords
