Abstract
In Part I, a model for frozen radical chain reactions of nitrogen atoms in a nitrogen molecule lattice was described. Here, a formal mathematical theory of these reactions is developed and applied. The results of the model are used to discuss the stability of frozen radical mixtures as a function of size. The theory also is used to obtain curves of free radical concentrations as a function of time, when radicals are produced by irradiation of the solid at low temperatures. The formulas obtained are compared with most recent experimental results. Keywords
