Abstract
Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) transmission in the novel 1470 nm wavelength band is demonstrated. Eight channel, 10 Gbit/s WDM repeaterless transmission over a 120 km dispersion-shifted fibre is achieved using thulium-doped fibre amplifiers. Keywords
