Abstract
Polymeric reagents are new kinds of synthetic reagents which have developed rapidly in recent years. Their applications in organic synthesis have been the subject of intense study. A large number of polymeric active esters have recently been reported2 as acylating reagents. Modification of the chemical reactivity of functional groups in polymers due to neighbouring group participation2a,3 is well known. Keywords
