Abstract
Adults of Popillia lewisi Arrow were captured with Japanese beetle (Popillia japomca Newman) lures on Okinawa during 1985-1986. The floral lure (phenethyl propionate/eugenol/geraniol, 3:7:3) was responsible for attracting the insects. The Japanese beetle synthetic sex attractant (Japonilure) was not attractive and did not synergize the floral lure. Two other scarab beetles, Protaetia ishigakia okinawana Kurosawa and particularly Oxycetonioa jecunda Falderman, were also attracted to the floral lure. Keywords
