Ni58(p, He3)Co56and(p, t)Ni56Reactions at 45 MeV

Abstract
The reactions Ni58(p, He3) and Ni58(p, t) have been studied at a proton energy of 45 MeV. An average energy resolution of 45 keV has been achieved. Angular distributions have been obtained for 26 levels of Co56 and 20 states of Ni56. The experimental results have been compared with distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations, using spectroscopic amplitudes given by a microscopic calculation.
