Sarcoidosis Involving the Pleura

Abstract
Two cases of sarcoidosis with histologically documented pleural involvement and with pleural effusion are presented. Extensive literature review only 1 other such case with histological confirmation. These 3 cases establish primary pleural involvement as part of the spectrum of this protein disease. The importance of determining the scope of the clinical manifestations of sarcoidosis is discussed.
