Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.21, p.115 (1988). Electronic avalanche currents in poly-p-xylylene thin polymer films are discussed from both experiments and numerical calculation. The model presented includes various factors controlling the transition conduction, i.e., collision ionisation, carrier recombination, space charge distortion, carrier trapping, tunnelling double injection from electrodes etc. Carrier recombination was found to be effective in the stabilisation of the avalanche current. Keywords
