Abstract
The selective inhibition of T-strain Mycoplasma by erythromycin in vitro provides a biochemical method of distinguishing T-strains from human genital classic Mycoplasma in the form of an erythromycin inhibition test. T-strain Mycoplasma, associated with 70 to 80% of cases of non-gonococcal urethritis in human males, have now been shown to be susceptible to an antibiotic which is effective in treatment of the disease. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
