Rydberg states of HeI using the polarization model

Abstract
The polarization-model calculation of the hydrogenic HeI excited states is reexamined. Compact expressions for the matrix elements allow the elimination of spurious irregularities. The agreement with recent sophisticated calculations is greatly improved.
