Abstract
A time-dependent projection technique is used to develop kinetic equations for simple observables in the context of field theory. A mean-field expansion can be written for these equations which are numerically tractable in the few lower orders. The procedure is applied to the case of the spatially uniform system in 1 + 1 dimensions, including numerical solutions.
