Abstract
Fourteen reported patients with > 2 yr survival of untreated cryptococcal meningitis were analyzed; an untreated patient with a 13 yr survival was also studied. Comments are made on the only known untreated cure of this disorder. The tendency to occasional remission but not cure of the disease without treatment is noted. The rare long survival without treatment apparently usually occurs in young and otherwise healthy individuals. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
