Abstract
A data-acquisition system, controlled by an Apple IIe microcomputer, designed for a bent crystal, vacuum spectrometer is described. A specific interface performing the photon counting via a programmable counter timer and the detector position encoding through a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter is coupled to the microcomputer bus by an 8-bit parallel interface. An outline of the software in advanced and machine language is given. Keywords
