Abstract
2-Nitro 7-methoxy naphtho [2,1-b] furan (R 7000) and 2-nitro 8-methoxy naphtho [2,1-b] furan, which are highly mutagenic on the bacterium Salmonella typhimurium, have little activity on the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Irradiation at 365 nm elicits a weak but significant increase of their mutagenic activity on this yeast. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
