Abstract
The spin-transfer coefficient Kyy'(0 degrees ) has been measured for the reaction 12C(p,n)12N at Ep=65 MeV using the neutron double scattering technique. Microscopic DWBA calculations with the M3Y effective interaction give a qualitative account of the Kyy'( degrees ) data for the 1+ transition. Better agreement is obtained if the high-q component of the tensor force is reduced. Keywords
