Abstract
The paracolic arcade is the most important vessel for the blood supply of the colon. It can be compared with the felly of a wheel, whose spokes are the colic arteries. It is the immediate source of the colic supply and the most important way for collateral circulation between the colic arteries and even between the superior and inferior mesenteric arteries. Keywords
