Abstract
The Raman spectra of 1-chloro-2-methylpropane and 2-methyl-1-propanethiol were measured in the liquid and solid states. Conformations of these molecules were studied in relation with the characteristic CH2–Cl and CH2–S stretching vibrations. The molecular structure of l-cysteine was discussed on the basis of observed CH2–S stretching frequencies. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
