Abstract
Exact quantum mechanical and quasiclassical trajectory results for rotationally inelastic N2 -corrugated surface collisions are compared over the energy range 0.01–0.04 eV. It is found that the degeneracy averaged, diffraction summed, rotationally inelastic transition probabilities display quantum oscillations. Keywords
