Abstract
Fresh human serum contains a substance, probably a gamma globulin, which inhibits the propagation of D-29 mycobacteriophage on human tubercle bacilli, but not on the saprophytic Mycobacterium ATCC 607. The factor is inactivated by trypsin but not by heating for one hour at 56 C.Keywords
