Abstract
A new combination Alectryon excelsus subsp. grandis is made for the Three Kings Islands taxon first described by Cheeseman as Alectryon excelsus var. grandis, but later raised to specific rank by him as A. grandis. Descriptions of the subspecies, its differences from A. excelsus subsp. excelsus, distribution, ecology, and chromosome counts of the subspecies are provided. A lectotype is selected for A. excelsus subsp. grandis and its conservation status reviewed. Keywords
