Abstract
Suramin combines with casein, gelatin, and serum proteins. The combination is firm and after prolonged extraction with solns. of ethanol and methanal, the complexes retain appreciable amts. of drug. HC1 hydrolyzed suramin does not combine with serum proteins and only slightly with casein. "Total amine" content of organs and tissues is increased when suramin (but not hydrolyzed suramin) is injected into rabbits. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
