Abstract
We classify the mesons with masses MeV by means of a simple quark model and calculate the contributions that individual resonances make to meson superconvergence sum rules. To a good approximation we find that only the two lowest supermultiplets are needed. For the case of elastic scattering of pseudoscalar mesons with mesons, we find that in some sum rules one of these supermultiplets is suppressed for kinematic reasons. Predictions are made and compared with both higher-symmetry predictions and experiment.
