Abstract
We classify the mesons with masses m<~2000 MeV by means of a simple quark model and calculate the contributions that individual resonances make to meson superconvergence sum rules. To a good approximation we find that only the two lowest supermultiplets are needed. For the case of elastic scattering of pseudoscalar mesons with JPC=2++ mesons, we find that in some sum rules one of these supermultiplets is suppressed for kinematic reasons. Predictions are made and compared with both higher-symmetry predictions and experiment.
