Abstract
The 1st reported case of P. ureae meningitis associated with endocarditis is described. The patient developed a fulminant deteriorating course despite appropriate antibiotic therapy begun within 24 h of presentation. Previous reports of P. ureae meningitis are reviewed. This organism should be considered in the differential diagnosis of gram-neative meningitis, since it is usually responsive to most antibiotics, including penicillin. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
