Entanglement cost of antisymmetric states

Abstract

We show that the entanglement cost of all mixed antisymmetric states of two three--level systems is 1 ebit. This implies that for all those states the entanglement of formation is additive. Our results also provide an alternative proof of the irreversibility in local asymptotic manipulations of entanglement.
