Abstract
A study of five additional isolates of Prototheca filamenta has led to a reappraisal of its classification. Fissuricella filamenta gen. nov. is proposed for this organism which has yeast and hyphal stages, but is characterized by Sarcina-like, cuboidal clusters. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
