Abstract
Ovine corticotropin‐releasing factor (CRF) was synthesized by solid‐phase method and isolated using two purification steps: gel filtration and high performance liquid chromatography. The synthetic peptide is a potent stimulator of ACTH release, as well as cyclic AMP accumulation and release in rat adenohypophyseal cells in culture and shows highly specific binding to bovine anterior pituitary plasma membranes. Keywords
