Abstract
The authors calculate the surface absorption probabilities for particles diffusing onto perfectly absorbing substrates. The 'f( alpha )' formalism purporting to represent the multifractal properties of the absorption probabilities is discussed in the context of some simple test cases. The f( alpha ) universality classes of several similar surfaces are studied and it is found that the f( alpha ) curves for surfaces with the same fractal dimension are different. Keywords
