Abstract
Six non-atopic patients with respiratory infections due to a variety of viruses demonstrated a consistent drop in Ig[immunoglubulin]E levels (35% to 87%) in the convalescent phase compared to the acute phase of infection, suggesting that the viral agent affects T [thymus derived] lymphocytes to suppress and hence B [bone marrow derived] lymphocytes to secrete IgE.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
