Abstract
Equations are given for the conversion of the 24-hr thyroidal uptake of radioiodine (U24) to its equivalent fractional thyroidal clearance rate (k1). Data on U24 for several different patient populations were analyzed and compared. In most cases the equivalent k1 values showed a log-normal distribution. Keywords
